Spiritual Direction Colorado's Privacy Policies
Spiritual Direction Colorado is a network of spiritual directors and companions, clergy and religious, care givers, lay ministry volunteers and spiritual seekers. Members of a volunteer coordinating committee are responsible for annual conferences and retreats, workshops for continuing education, and this web site. All members of the coordinating committee are related to professions that emphasize mutual accountability and stewardship. Our privacy policies are an expression of these values.
Institutional Affiliation. Spiritual Direction Colorado is an
ecumenical ministry founded by
The Episcopal Diocese of Colorado. Members of SDCO's
volunteer coordinating committee are formally appointed by the Bishop of The Episcopal Diocese
of Colorado. Committee members are affiliated with several protestant denominations and the Roman
Catholic Church. SDCO's fiscal affairs are managed and supervised by the
Controller of The Episcopal Diocese of Colorado.
Information management. Spiritual Direction Colorado maintains a contact list of people we believe share our interest in opportunities and resources related to spirituality
and spiritual growth. This contact list is used solely for the purpose of communicating with our constituents, principally for emailing occasional newsletters and event announcements.
This information is never loaned, rented, sold or otherwise shared with any other organizations, informal groups or individuals, including The Episcopal Diocese of Colorado. Our contact list is stored on a secure server maintained by
WildApricot.com, a company widely respected in the nonprofit world that provides the services that enable us to maintain this web site.
Control of personal information. Spiritual Direction Colorado's constituent database contains names and email addresses, plus other personal information added by our constituents. People who register on our website are able to correct or update their personal information at any time and may, if they choose, make their personal information public in the network directory on our web site. By default, personal
information
is
not visible in this online directory, unless the constituent
registers on
our web site and changes their privacy settings to make their information visible. We promptly delete personal information from our constituent database upon request. Click

Personal credit card or debit card information. We use a respected credit card processing company,
Authorize.net, for the "merchant" and "payment" services needed for online credit card transactions. Spiritual Direction Colorado
does not save the information submitted when a person registers for an event or purchases a CD online or in person using a credit or debit card. We scrupulously adhere to best practices related to handling sensitive credit or debit card information.
