Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 4–6:15 p.m. (3:30–4 p.m. check-in, fellowship and refreshments. Cost: $15 to $35, as you are able.)
Topic How can you accompany people yearning to be genuine in a cluttered, fear-based culture? Ignatian spirituality weaves simplicity and gratitude, intellect and imagination, scripture and discernment. Poetry is primal speech, the language of metaphors that both guide and companion us—even unknowingly—to express the soul. Focusing on fewer words allows for pauses to integrate heart, mind and will. Through contemplative questions and companioning another in the workshop, your life may morph into a poem with repeated rhythms—call and response, suffering and celebration.
